Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival & Preparation
Arrive into Jackson, Wyoming and transfer to the Jackson Hole Lodge. Depending on arrival time, you may explore historic downtown Jackson, relax at the hotel, or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We will meet back at our hotel at 5pm for a gear shakedown, distribution of tents and group food and gear. Then, we’ll make our way to a great local restaurant for a welcome dinner.
Day 2 - Lake Yellowstone
After an early morning breakfast, we’ll make our way north into Yellowstone National Park. We will stop along the way to do a little sightseeing, and to pick up our backcountry permit. We’ll catch a ferry to the southeast shore of Lake Yellowstone. Here we’ll have dinner and set up camp for the night, then watch the sun set over the lake.
Day 3 - Beaverdam Creek Hike
Waking up on our first morning on the east shore of Lake Yellowstone is sure to be a memorable experience. We will take our time breaking camp and enjoy breakfast before we continue our journey along the trail. We’ll hike about 6 miles and set up camp on a high bluff overlooking Beaverdam Creek. This will be our camp for the next 2 nights.
Day 4 - Yellowstone River
Today, we’ll leave our heavy packs behind and just carry what we need for the day. We’ll hike 3 miles to the Yellowstone River, just south of Lake Yellowstone. We’ll spend the afternoon relaxing on the banks of the river – fishing, swimming, taking photos, reading a good book or taking a nap are all great options! When we’ve had our fill of the river, we’ll hike back to camp and have dinner.
Day 5 - Forest Hiking
Today, we’ll hike north about 8 miles through forests of lodgepole pine and conifer trees along the shores of Lake Yellowstone. During the day, we’ll stop to enjoy lunch on the trail. Camp will be at a beautiful site right on the bank of the lake.
Day 6 - Trailhead Hike
In the morning, we’ll have a hot breakfast and hike 6.5 miles north to the trailhead. We’ll do a little sightseeing and have lunch, the head back to Jackson, WY. Upon arrival in Jackson, we will check into our hotel, enjoy a hot shower, and head into downtown Jackson for a well-deserved farewell dinner at the Snake River Brewery.
Day 1 - Departure Day
We have our last group meal at breakfast this morning before spending the day preparing to depart and running shuttles to the airport.

Note: Itinerary is subject to change depending on permit availability, weather, trail and course conditions, travel, health and well-being of the trip participants, and interests of the group.
