Additional Information

Meals

The Backwoods team will prepare all meals for the clients (no skimping here—this is a big benefit of having a base camp). Traditional trail snacks are provided, but all clients are welcome and recommended to bring their own favorite snacks. The Backwoods team knows that well-fed hikers are happy hikers and aim to please! Special dietary considerations can usually be accommodated with at least 30 days advance notice.

Accommodations

Meet the Backwoods Adventure Team at Caprock Canyons in the newly improved campgrounds for deluxe tent camping, restrooms, running water, and electricity nearby. There is a small lake in the park where you will be able to enjoy catching some largemouth bass in the evening if you prefer.

Health

This trip includes hikes of multiple miles over rough and uneven ground. There may be steep descents and ascents, so physical preparation is very important.

Single Supplement

All prices are calculated for double-occupancy. To ensure your comfort, we will always match you with a roommate of the same sex – and if we're unable to match you with a roommate, you may end up with your own room free of charge. If sharing is not your idea of fun, you can request a single supplement for a small upcharge when you pay your final amount. You will be able to make this election on your trip registration.
