Adventure Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival & Orientation

Plan to arrive in Fayetteville no later than 6pm. We will check into our hotels and then have an orientation dinner at a nearby eatery.

Meals Included: Dinner

Day 2 - Paddle to Horshoe Bend

After eating an early breakfast, we will load back into our vehicles and drive to Ponca, arriving around 9am. Here we will get outfitted with our kayaks and will begin our paddle. Our final destination this evening is Horseshoe Bend, where we will arrive in time to set up camp. Once set up, we will take a late-afternoon hike to some rock escarpments, and upon returning will be met with a hot dinner.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 - Waterfalls & Rapids

Wake up with some coffee and a grab-and-go breakfast, and head out for early morning hike to the Hemmed in Hollow waterfall. Upon returning, you will be met with a hot brunch, and from here we will pack up our belongings and head back on the river. This day features some more adrenaline-pumping rapids: Gray Rock & Crisis Curve. Upon arrival, we will set up camp, and take an optional hike to Buzzard Bluff.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4 - River Paddling & Buffalo River Trail Hiking

Today we will eat breakfast in camp, pack up, and hit the river right away, passing Gar Hole & Scouts Bend. Our final class 2 rapid is Erbie Low-Water Crossing, and we will park our kayaks and canoes near here to do the Buffalo River trail. Upon return, we’ll have lunch, and will paddle down to our final campsite.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 5 - Final Paddle & Departure

Today we have a short ways to go, so we will sleep in a bit, eat a big breakfast, and then pack in for our final leisurely leg of the trip. Our shuttle will take us back to Ponca where we will pick up our cars, and will meet at the Low Gap Café for our final (well-deserved) lunch.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
